Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

PulseLink is a Garmin Connect IQ app operated by Easymoat (sole proprietor: Yoshicchi). This Privacy Policy explains what data PulseLink processes, why, and the choices you have. By using PulseLink you agree to this policy.

Health data notice. PulseLink processes heart-rate data, which is a special category of personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We process it only with your explicit consent and only to provide the sharing features you choose to use.

1. Who we are

Easymoat (sole proprietor: Yoshicchi), Japan. Contact: easymoat@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the information described below.

2. What we collect

We do not collect your name, address, contacts, or any advertising identifiers, and we do not build a location history or movement track. PulseLink contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Location sharing is off by default; when you turn it on, only your latest position is shared with your Crew — never a stored trail of where you have been.

On-device profile reading (not collected). To draw certain on-watch displays — the heat-stress advisory and the body-metrics bar — PulseLink reads your weight, age and resting heart rate from your Garmin user profile. This happens only on your watch to render those displays; this profile data is never transmitted to our server, stored, or shared with anyone.

3. How we use your data

Legal bases (GDPR): your explicit consent for heart-rate (health) data and for Location sharing; performance of a contract for account and Crew features; and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

4. Who can see your data

We never sell your data, and we never share it with advertisers or data brokers.

5. How long we keep it

This reflects how PulseLink is actually built:

6. Your privacy controls

PulseLink gives you these independent in-app controls:

7. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under the GDPR for EU/UK users), you have the right to:

EU/UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

8. Eligibility

PulseLink requires a Garmin device and a Garmin account. You must meet the eligibility and age requirements of your Garmin account to use PulseLink.

9. Security

All communication between the app and our server is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS). Passwords are stored only as salted SHA-256 hashes — never in plain text — and authentication uses signed tokens. Heart-rate, step and distance values are held only transiently in server memory (see Section 5). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we apply measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.

Watchface images (an optional Leader feature) are uploaded from the website over HTTPS. When a Leader shares an image, it is relayed through our server to each Crew member's watch over HTTPS, and it is visible only within that invite-only Crew; each member can opt out at any time using the "Use Leader's" toggle. On the watch the image is rendered solely as a static bitmap through Garmin's image API — shown as pixels only, it cannot run code or access any other data on your device.

10. International transfers

Our server is hosted on Render. Depending on region, your data may be processed on servers located outside your country. We rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Children

PulseLink is not directed at children below the age permitted by your Garmin account terms. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone who does not meet those requirements.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
